(c) Law on Special Measures in Criminal Matters for the Implementation of the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America concerning Installations and Territories and the Status of the Armed Forces of the United States in Japan (Law No. 138, 1952) The implementation of the above-mentioned security requirements may be facilitated by reciprocal visits by security representatives of the Contracting Parties. Accordingly, the security officers of each Party shall be allowed, after prior consultation, to visit the other Party to discuss the security procedures and monitor their implementation, in order to achieve adequate comparability of their respective security systems in mutually agreed locations in a mutually satisfactory manner. Each party assists security officials in determining whether the IJC provided by the other party is properly protected.
