Are My Kids on Track? by Sissy Goff, David Thomas, & Melissa Trevathan

Reviewed by Stephanie K.

The book is about 12 emotional, social and spiritual milestones a child should reach. It was very helpful to have something systematic to evaluate the development and growth of your child. The book does come from a Christian perspective so the spiritual milestones were mentioned to be the most important ones. The book is laid out well, explaining the milestone, differentiating stumbling blocks for boys and girls, providing building blocks for boys and girls and at the end providing practical tips. After reading the book I was able to take away practically ideas to implement with my kids to start working on certain milestones. I would recommend this book for parents with kids of any age. They gave examples of younger kids and teenagers in the book. I was also able to reflect if I have reached those milestones myself and what I may need to work on as a parent.
